Lens Baby!

I have 2 items of good news relating to lenses.

#1 I have new glasses! After leaving my expensive glasses in a cafe somewhere about 6 months ago (and not realising for 2 months) I finally got around to getting some more. I stumbled upon this small market stall selling frames so I was able to get frames for 15pounds then got my lenes fitted. YAY I can now see properly

#2 My Canon lens that accidentally went through the washing machine * looks to be OK! The water has dried out, when I hold it up to the light it looks filthy and looks like it shouldn’t work but actually seems to take photos OK – see the ones I’ve taken of myself with my new glasses.

* How does a camera lens accidentally go through the wash? Well…while on holiday (and not having a lens bag) I wrapped my second lens in some clothing. When I got home I forgot and just chucked all my clothes into the washing machine…
