Kinect Hack + VJing at Psylent Night

Psylent Night is an outdoor party in Wellington where Mohawk Media, Sam Minnee and I put on the visuals. We ran a Kinect hack called MikuMiku dance and connected it to a V4 to VJ behind the dancer. DJ: Chelfyn. VJ: Kellective. Dancer: Amber Haley. Camera: MsBehaviour.

WOW what a fantastic night this turned out to be. The best part was the feedback from others! It makes all the hard work worth it to hear that everyone enjoyed it especially hearing that Maya haven’t had a Friday like that in a very long time. The venue has this great Mayan meets cyber-tech theme which worked really well with out music, costumes and energy.

Heaps Loose

My first *large* VJ gig – Heaps Loose. I was asked by Emil to come along and run the SOS visualiser in with their visuals. We also had 3 live cameras feeding into the mix. It was completely sold out – 2000 people came! Epic night,I had heaps of fun mixing with Rob, Harry and Emil and it was a great learning experience too.
